Lek Asavi Tar Ashi
Jyoti Pictures and Everest Entertainment’s Marathi film Lek Asavi Tar Ashi (UA) is about a girl who is ill-treated by her step brothers and their wives; she forgives all but bequeaths them the family wealth instead.
Vijay Kondke has written a story and screenplay that will not gel with today’s viewers, because they are not emotionally engaging. As a family drama without any emotional content in it at all, this greatly undercuts its impact on people watching it even though some lines were good enough from Vijay Kondke himself.
Gargi Datar does well as Jyoti; Yatin Karyekar gives good support as Gopalrao while Shubhangi Gokhale lends nice support to him playing his wife; Kamlesh Sawant has his moments being Shankar mama & Surekha Kudchi makes her mark being the mami. Onkar Bhojane & Prajakta Hanamghar are hilarious providing laughs through comedy whereas Abhijeet Chavan, Savita Malpekar, Nayana Apte & Pritam Bhandare lend reasonable support Others fit the bill.
Vijay Kondke’s direction is very ordinary. Manohar Golambare’s music is good. Vijay Kondke & Mangesh Kangane’s lyrics make sense but Sujeet Kumar’s choreography lacks appeal though Background music creates impact. Cinematography of Aniket K. is nice. Prashant Naik functionalizes with action and stunt scenes for Satish Bidkar’s art direction to be proper which Subodh Narkar should’ve been sharper when editing it anyway.
Overall ; Nobody will lover “Lek Asavi Tar Ashi” because nobody loves such movies anymore.
